A catch-all feature that is activated for a particular e-mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. In other words, if you disable an email address and someone still sends an email to it, or to any mistyped address under the very same domain, you’ll get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential if you are running some company, for instance. Since you may start receiving unsolicited emails, you can combine the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filters so as to get only authentic emails in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud web hosting platform and you have a cloud hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all feature for any email mailbox that you create under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel offers quite a lot of functions, but it’s incredibly intuitive, so setting up a catch-all mailbox takes just a click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you have created will be shown in this section alphabetically and you will just have to click the "Catch-all" button for the respective address. Our system will warn you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or select another mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all option is just as simple and takes one more mouse click on the exact same button.
